The Missouri Property Assessment Amendment was not on the ballot in Missouri as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 5, 2024.
This amendment would have provided for the true value of all primary residential property to be the same as the value determined at the most recent assessment of the property.[1]

To put a legislatively referred constitutional amendment before voters, a simple majority vote is required in both the Missouri State Senate and the Missouri House of Representatives.
Amendment in the state Legislature
The amendment was introduced on December 1, 2023. The Missouri House of Representatives voted 104-19 to pass the measure on March 28, 2024.
