The Missouri Provisions Related to Gender Identity and Marriage Definition Amendment was not on the ballot in Missouri as an initiated constitutional amendment on November 5, 2024.
The amendment would have repealed the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman, provided for allowing consenting adults the right to marry regardless of gender, provided for an individual the right to express their gender identity and sexual orientation in a way that does not infringe on others to do the same, provided for minors the ability to receive gender affirming care, as defined, or counseling with the consent of a parent or guardian, and provided for health care providers, ministers and clergy, and educators to provide counsel to minors seeking guidance or comfort about matters relating to gender identification and sexual orientation.[1]
