I am a Houston native with roots from a rural area called Anderson, Texas who has a heart of a community advocate and a spirit of a warrior. I am black woman who wears many hats. I am mother of 4 sons, a wife of a very talented Visual Artist for the past 21 years in counting, daughter of veterans and pastors, and sister of very talented local recording artists. I'm also a proud Texas Southern University's Barbara Jordan & Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs alum who holds a Bachelors degree in Administration of Justice and Masters in Public Administration. I'm also a Doctoral Candidate in Liberty University’s Public Administration and Public Policy program who is a paralegal by trade, a published author, Vice President of Student Affairs & Marketing at Swag Achievement Organization, founder of Love, Spirit & Truth Publishing, Advisor of Texas Southern Chapter Swag Achievement, former Advisor of Texas Southern University Living Testimony , member of Pi Alpha Alpha-Public Administration Honor Society, and founder of the grassroot organization, #WeAre 1 Movement. I've also had the opportunities to work hand and hand in the community and schools in the Spring and Houston Independent School Districts with organizations like 90.1 Pacifica's Community Spotlight-Poetry From the Heart, Texas Southern University's Living Testimony, Be the Solution Empowerment, Houston Black Heritage Music & Arts Foundation, and S.H.A.P.E Community.
  • As the Voice of ALL people...I will be the vessel for ALL PEOPLE who have been abused, misused, underappreciated, disrespected and oppressed.
  • Equality is one of the missing pieces of our democracy. As the Voice, I will advocate for equality to be dispersed among everyone in every avenue locally, statewide and nationally from the board of the corporations to the classrooms. The time is now to elevate ALL PEOPLE to receive and endure this right to the highest degree without any discriminatory practices hindering one to achieve their goals and succeed in life itself.
  • Justice shall prevail at all cost for ALL who have either fallen as a victim of circumstances that was preventable, or if they are mistakenly apprehended for a wrongful act they did not commit. The justice system has to hold accountable against those who caused defamation, harm, or death even if it is a public official or public servant. No one is above the law.
As a Texas Senator, public policies are proposed, debated, interpreted, and passed as bills that affects the lives of Texas citizens, so I, THE VOICE OF ALL PEOPLE, am passionate for the following areas:

Education
Veteran Affairs
Homelessness
Mental Health
Voting Rights
Women Rights
Disabled Community
Seniors Care
Healthcare
Policing
Crime Reform
Small Business Reform
Agriculture
Labor & Wages

My admiration all starts with my beautiful, spiritual and loving mother. She is a woman who has done and accomplished so much since the day I could talk. She was the one who instilled in me to always have a plan to follow and goals to achieve on what my heart desire. She also encouraged me to not settle for less and to not give up when it seems like the possible is impossible when obstacles present themselves in my path to achieve my objective or goal. This woman who I called Mother is a phenom at the highest degree of humanity.

I also admire three other people who had left a legacy that molded our society. Those three people are Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Barbara Jordan and Malcolm X. Surprisingly, all three sought for equality, freedom, and justice for those who are oppressed but moved differently throughout their journey. I was so amazed how Dr. King was able to walk in humility with non-violent protests during segregation and the Jim Crow laws while Malcom X was educating the nation on how the oppressed is being handle and should regroup to strengthen what was within to claim their independence. Then, the wittiness, courageous and dominated liberated Barbara Jordan who was one in the million that could speak with such eloquence and rationality in regards of a bill that is being debated from the Texas Senate floor to the US Congress. She was so miraculous on how she present her views on the subject matter. It was so powerful and direct with a sincere tone in which no one could really question or even follow. So, seemingly, I see myself as the student of these greats and I strive for my work ethics to be seen in the same light but in a different era as the Voice of All People.
The characteristics or principles that are most important for an elected official are honesty, integrity, confidence, compassion for others, and devotion.
The qualities I possess as a successful officeholder are assertiveness, honesty, being transparent and communicate with the constituents, display integrity, having compassion for those who are oppressed, depressed, abused, misused and disrespected, and being committed to any task that is given for me to complete as a problem solver.
The fictional character, I would be is Wonder Woman.
I believe the State of Texas primary challenge is being able to elect officials who are willingly to do for the people's well being instead of their self interest or claiming power over the other party, Another challenge is having the state legislature working together for the betterment of the people despite their party's ideologies. Lastly, the challenge that speaks greater volume than the other two is candidates of the defeat party being able to accept the results of the election without appealing and investigating whether or not the other party committed election fraud or if the other party is eligible to be on the official ballot.
Yes, there are legislators who I would definitely study their craft but still be myself as a legislator. The past legislator is Barbara Jordan and current legislator is Maxine Waters.
I am highly interested in running for the US Senate in the future because the Senate needs to be diversified and the decisions that they are making now are mobilized for the parties and not for the people. The Senate is truly crippling both our economy and livelihood. So, I would like to be the agent of change and the advocate for the betterment of ALL people.
