Two of the seven seats on the Rogers School District school board were up for general election on September 20, 2016. In the race for at-large Position 6, candidate Mitch Lockhart defeated fellow candidates Caley Vo and Bob White. Nathan Gairhan won the by-district Position 7 seat. Candidate Mark Sparks filed in the race but withdrew in late August 2016, leaving Gairhan to run unopposed. Because of his late withdrawal, Sparks' name still appeared on the ballot.[1][2]
