Mitch Seabaugh
Mitchell Seabaugh is a former Republican member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 28 from 2001 to 2011. In 2011, Seabaugh resigned to accept an appointment to the position of deputy state treasurer. A special election to replace him was held on November 8, 2011.[1] He served as Senate Majority Whip from 2004 to 2011.
Seabaugh was a member of the Georgia Republican Party State Committee, the Coweta County Republican Party Executive Committee and the 3rd District Committee. In 1996 he was Coweta County Chair for the Bob Dole for President Campaign.
Biography
Seabaugh earned his B.S. in accounting from Southern Arkansas University. His professional experience includes working as a Youth Coach for Newnan/Sharpsburg Youth League, Chief Financial Officer for Local Newnan Company and an accountant.

2008
On November 4, 2008, Seabaugh won re-election to the Georgia Senate from Georgia's 28th Senate district. Seabaugh received 54,483 votes in the election, defeating Betty Aaron (D), who received 21,866 votes.[3] Seabaugh raised $209,374 for his campaign in 2008; Aaron raised $7,572.[4]
