Issues

Young issued the following statements regarding his bid for office:

I am the Citizen Candidate. I have a plan and a vision that will transcend our economy, fully fund MAEP and move Mississippi out of last place economically forever. Our education system is not broken but it has been mismanaged for decades. I can implement new ideas in pilot high schools that will make our graduating seniors workforce ready with the skillsets they need to succeed. Without increasing taxes one dime. I have a plan to fix the insurance issues on the gulf coast. Ten years post Katrina and the legislature has done nothing for our coastal citizens. I have been a Republican all my adult life. I believe in the party but I feel like the Party has lost its way. I don’t believe the Republicans are right on everything and I don’t believe the Democrats are wrong on everything. Lobbyist, Lawyers and Career Politicians have hijacked our state government and represent themselves more than the people who elect them.

You have a choice in August between a Citizen with a plan and a career politician on the Party Dole. If you like being the minimum wage state re-elect the people that got that title for you. We have some issues in Mississippi but we can do better! [7]
