|Education—I have a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Business Administration Management from the University of Central Missouri
My education, talents, skills, experience, and love for the Jackson County community make me the best qualified for this office. I have experience working in the corporate world as well as a small business entrepreneur. Currently, I run a promotion, marketing, and event planning company, where we conceptualize, produce, market, and promote events locally and nationally. We also, provide consulting for other companies helping them succeed in business. Through past projects, my company has generated well over $2 million in tourism dollars and local spending for the City of Kansas City. My business requires me to work with small and large budgets and sometimes up to 30 vendors to achieve goals. I believe in making Jackson County better!
Prior Public Service— i. Former Vice President & Board Member of the South Town Council ii. Former Chairman & Board Member of the Insurance Committee for the Neighborhood Housing Services iii. Former Board Member of the Eastmeyer Community Association iv. Prince Hall Free & Accepted Mason (Past Master) v. St James United Methodist Usher board member vi. Volunteer for Harvesters
- I will fight for fair property tax assessments, say no to wasteful spending and provide more transparency to taxpayers
- I will also focus on county infrastructure and work to provide ownership initiatives for single family homes.
- I am ready to serve Jackson County because I believe I can make it better!
I will work to get county finances in order and provide more transparency. It does not make sense for the county to say they need to raise personal property taxes and in effect increase mortgages by 20 to 35% when the state auditor found $100 million being unused in the budget. I hear the property taxes are going up again in 2023.
