Mitzi Johnson
Mitzi Johnson (Democratic Party) was a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Grand Isle-Chittenden District. She assumed office in 2003. She left office on January 6, 2021.
Johnson (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Vermont House of Representatives to represent Grand Isle-Chittenden District. She lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Johnson was elected speaker of the House on January 4, 2017.[1]
Johnson is the executive director of the nonprofit Adaptive Leadership Network. She has also worked for Hunger Free Vermont, the Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force, and Allenholm Farm.[2]
Biography
Johnson earned her B.S. from the University of Vermont in 1993.
Johnson has worked in the following positions: Policy Specialist for the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger, Piano Teacher, Artist, and Apple Harvest Crew Supervisor and Vegetable Production Manager for Allenholm Farms.

2014
Elections for the Vermont House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 12, 2014. Grand Isle-Chittenden has two state representatives. Incumbents Bob Krebs and Mitzi Johnson were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Jason Moquin was unopposed in the Republican primary.[7][8][9][10] All three candidates moved forward to the general election, where Krebs appeared on the ballot as both a Democratic and Republican nominee. Krebs and Johnson defeated Moquin in the general election.[11]

Johnson won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Grand Isle-Chittenden. Johnson was unopposed in the August 28 Democratic primary and won re-election in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[12]

Mitzi Johnson won re-election to the Grand Isle-Chittenden 1-1 District in 2010. She ran against Bob Krebs (D), David Light (R), and Jay Purvis (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[12]
