Mo Khan
Mo Khan was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 20 of the Illinois House of Representatives.
Biography
Khan earned his B.S. in accounting from the University of Iowa and was pursuing a degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law at the time of his candidacy. His professional experience includes working as an employee on Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and as special assistant to then-Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias during the 2010 U.S. Senate race.[1]
Elections
2014
Elections for the Illinois House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on March 18, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was December 2, 2013. Mo Khan defeated Jerry J. Acciari in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Michael McAuliffe was set to face Michael T. Yorty in the Republican primary, but Yorty was removed from the ballot on January 10, 2014, leaving McAuliffe unopposed. McAuliffe then defeated Khan in the general election.[2][3][4][5]
