Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Originally from Sierra Leone, I moved to the US at the age of 14. After high school, I received a full scholarship to Franklin & Marshall College, where I studied Political Science and Economics. Since then, I have worked as a team leader for a data analytics company, while spending my free time engaging in local community organizing. I am running for office to pursue my passion for serving underrepresented communities. I live in Dorchester with my partner and our 2 year old son.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Past experience in community organizing means I will advocate for the best interests of the public. Experienced leader who can galvanize a team into action
• Passionate about public service and working hard for my community
• Strong belief in transparency and accountability. As a political newcomer, I will bring fresh ideas and a new perspective to this office.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I'd like to see the justice system be more transparent and fair for all. I will ensure that people coming into the probate court get the legal representation and resources they deserve. I will make sure that it is not too confusing for people by updating the website to provide useful and impactful information.

What qualities does this office possess that makes it a unique and important part of the state government and legal system?

Everyone will have to go through this court, and it is vital that whosoever controls it is compassionate, transparent, and wants to help people who are going through hardship.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King. Their philosophy for non-violent, their moral compass, and love for one and other is what drives me.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Transparency and accountability are very important to me.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I am a great people person, and listen to others issues and always willing to help.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Ensuring people get the right information and legal help for their need. Bridging the gap between lawyers and people seeking legal help.

What legacy would you like to leave?

Would like to improve the process of the probate court and make people trust it. Currently, it is all too easy to get lost in the bureaucracy.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Political Analyst. I held the role for 1 year. I have always volunteered on local elections my whole adult life.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Superman

Are there any little-known powers or responsibilities held by this office that you believe more people should be aware of?

Yes, the power to seize property should be something everyone should be aware of, because by knowing this information you can help prevent the state from taking ownership of your property.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for holders of this office to have previous experience in government or politics?

Not necessarily. As long as you understand how the systems operate, are organized, and able to manage others, I think that's more important.

What kind of skills or expertise do you believe would be the most helpful for the holders of this office to possess?

Leadership, organization, interpersonal and communication skills

What are your views on financial transparency and government accountability?

I will be very transparent and only involve myself in matters within the boundaries of my office
