Shaiq highlighted the following issues on her campaign website:

My vision is for everyone to be heard and respected. I will work for you and meet regularly with parents, teachers and staff to ensure that Fremont is the best place to raise a family and that our children have bright futures. I will work to maintain quality schools by being fiscally responsible, focusing on student success, addressing school overcrowding and providing a safe and healthy environment for every child to learn. The skills and experience I bring will help me to provide oversight and complement FUSD’s efforts to implement Measure E projects, while maximizing taxpayer dollars. As a strong advocate for quality education and a safe learning environment, I was instrumental in organizing an anti-bullying forum.

I respectfully ask for your vote.[2]
