Moira B. Kaleida
Moira B. Kaleida is the former District 6 member on the Pittsburgh Board of Directors in Pennsylvania. The seat was up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015. She filed to run in both the Republican and Democratic primaries. Kaleida won nominations from both primaries and advanced to the general election.[1][2] Kaleida did not file for re-election in 2019.
Biography
Kaleida obtained her bachelor's degree in secondary education from Pennsylvania State University. She serves on the board of directors for two local nonprofits, ICAN of Southwestern Pittsburgh and BREW on Broadway.[3]

2015
Four of the nine seats on the Pittsburgh Board of Directors were up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015.
Incumbent Regina B. Holley won the District 2 seat without opposition. Lynda Wrenn and Moira B. Kaleida also won without opposition for the seats in Districts 4 and 6, respectively. Kevin L. Carter (D) defeated Rosemary Moriarty (R) for the District 8 seat.
Wrenn defeated Kirk B. Burkley in the primary election. Samuel J. Hurst and Tracy Link were defeated in the primary election for District 6. Patricia Rogers lost the primary election in District 8. No independent candidates filed to run in the general election.[1][2]

Funding
Kaleida reported $10,651.21 in contributions and $8,235.26 in expenditures to the Allegheny County Elections Division, which left her campaign with $2,415.95 on hand in the election.[4]
Endorsements
Kaleida received official endorsements from the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, the Allegheny County Democratic Committee, the Gertrude Stein Political Club of Greater Pittsburgh, the Steel City Stonewall Democrats and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.[5][6]
