Molly Francis
Molly Francis (Republican Party) was a judge for Place 10 of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals. She left office on December 31, 2018.
Francis (Republican Party) ran for re-election for the Place 10 judge of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals. She lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Education
Justice Francis earned her law degree from Baylor University.[1]
Career
From 1981-1982, Francis worked as a briefing attorney for Judge James Warren of the First Court of Appeals in Houston. She then spent one year working in the district attorney's office in Dallas before going into private practice. Justice Francis joined the bench in 1990 as a judge on County Criminal Court No. 9. She was later appointed by then-governor George W. Bush to the 283rd Judicial District Court. She worked in this capacity until September 2001, when she was appointed to the Fifth District Court of Appeals by Governor Rick Perry.[1]
