Molly Hanlon Mirabito ran for judge on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania in 2011.

2011 election

Mirabito won the Democratic Party primary on May 17. She received 7.2% in the Democratic primary and 6.1% of the vote in the Republican primary.[1] She was narrowly defeated in the general election on November 8, receiving only 13.1% of the vote.[2]

Campaign finance

Mirabito comes in on the lower end of campaign spending having only spent $5,400.[3] Mirabito has also stated that she will not accept campaign contributions from lawyers before or after the election.[4]

Mirabito earned his B.A. as a Presidential Scholar in Government and Politics & English at King's College in 1984. She then earned her J.D. as a Thomas J. White Scholar from the University of Notre Dame School of Law in 1987.[4]

Mirabito has been an assistant District Attorney and practicing attorney for over 22 years.[4]
