Molly Mitchell Spearman (Republican Party) was the South Carolina Superintendent of Education. She assumed office on January 14, 2015. She left office on January 11, 2023.

Spearman (Republican Party) ran for re-election for South Carolina Superintendent of Education. She won in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Spearman is a former four-term member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 39, which covers Saluda County and portions of Lexington County.[1]

Spearman was raised on a dairy farm in Saluda County, South Carolina, an area she would later represent in the South Carolina State Legislature. She attended public schools through graduation from Hollywood High School, and went on to study music education at Lander College. Spearman also holds an M.A. in education supervision from George Washington University and an education specialist degree from the University of South Carolina.[1]

Spearman's professional experience includes nearly 20 years working as a music teacher and an assistant principal. She was hired as deputy superintendent for the South Carolina Department of Education in 1998, and eventually ascended to the role of superintendent.[1]
