  • I have two young sons in Big Walnut schools; my youngest son graduates in 2039. I have a truly vested interest in the future of Big Walnut schools for many years to come. I am ready to serve our community as Board of Education member to help make Big Walnut the best it can be, so that all of our kids can receive the best education possible.
  • I believe Big Walnut will be made stronger by having more of the community involved and engaged as our district continues to grow. As a Board member, I will prioritize open communication, increased opportunities for community input, and transparency in all decision-making. Together, we can build a bright future for all Big Walnut kids.
  • I believe that the best thing the Big Walnut Board of Education can do going forward to refocus itself, is to update its outdated strategic plan to establish a clear future vision; identify key priorities; set goals and actionable steps to achieve them; measure progress against our goals; and regularly communicate all of this to the Big Walnut community so that the district can be held accountable. Right now, Big Walnut does not have a current strategic plan; the last one done was in 2015 and called “Vision 2020”. We need to refresh our plan to help ensure we continue to improve for our students!
I am passionate about any policy that has an impact on public education.
I have been endorsed by two local elected officials: Dave Jackson (Harlem Township Trustee of 28 years) and Dave Martin (Sunbury City Council and former Big Walnut Board of Education member). I have also been endorsed by a nonpartisan non-profit organization called The Oath of Office, which seeks to hold elected officials to a higher standard of accountability and ensure elected officials serve their communities with honesty, integrity, and transparency.
