Monica is a stay-at-home parent to two elementary school daughters. She is also an Ivy League trained economist, formerly with the U.S. Departments of Labor & Commerce. She speaks fluent Spanish, as her ethnic background is South American. Her parents immigrated in the late 60’s. Monica was born in California, where she attended Stanford University, and later worked as a field economist for the U. S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Monica is married to Jerry, who works as a U.S. Defense Contractor and hails from Michigan. Their two daughters are Children of the American Revolution through their dad’s ancestry. The family lives in McLean, Virginia; and they participate in family activities & sports in Arlington, Falls Church & Alexandria, as well as in McLean where they reside.
  • Monica is running to fight for families, women & children in her district and across the nation.
  • Monica is running to curtail the excessive taxation of the middle class, and to promote the strength of free markets, and need for responsible fiscal spending.
  • Monica will fight to prioritize taxpayers’ interests (America First), to secure borders and prioritize a strong U.S. Defense.
Parental rights and children’s rights to safe public schools across the nation.

Women’s rights.

Worker’s rights to a safe workplace.

Metal detectors in all public schools & workplaces with more than a certain number of employees.
Glenn Youngkin, Governor-Elect of Virginia. I volunteered for his campaign, and truly admire and care for Mr. Youngkin: a hard-working, smart, conservative, passionate, and fair person.
Common decency, common sense, objectivity, fairness, resilience, positivity.
-Children’s advocate. No more school closures, no more mask, increased sanitation in schools & metal detectors in school entrances.

-Increased U.S. border control. Increased visa requirements such as demand for health insurance to enter U.S. Otherwise tax payers have to cover visitors’ hospital bills.
Candide - by Voltaire
The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Purchasing a single family home after getting married.

Living alone for many years before getting married; having my family overseas or in another state.

Lack of extended family after having children. Again, not having extended family nearby.

Finding housing near good public schools.
Economic inequality.

Ethnic friction.

Immigration.

Gas prices.

Pollution.
-Appropriations

-Budget
-Education & Labor

- Joint Economic Committee, for which Don Beyer is Chairman & wants to elevate the debt limit
Four would be better. Too much time is spent on re-election campaigning. With a two-term limit - like U,S. Presidents.
There should be term limits in Congress. All over the world it is well known that politicians who stay in office too long tend to lose sight of what brought then into office in the first place.

I think terms should be limited to two, with an option to run again after a break.

When I helped collect signatures to help recall certain school board members:

-Dad of 5 struggling to manage all kids at home & work remotely

-Mom of two had to quit her job to watch her kids when schools were closed for almost a year

-Kids having mental health problems because of unnecessary school closures

-I think Dr. Fauci has reached retirement age and should retire. He has done more harm than good for Anerica’s Families. I am an economist and think Democratic politicians like Don Beyer who want to increase government spending are just pushing bad policy. That just creates inflation. Gas prices have gone up excessively. Housing prices keep going up. We need common sense & gradual changes.
