Biography
Monica Hosch Kurth was born in Cascade, Iowa. Kurth graduated from Aquin High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Mount Mercy College and a master’s degree in counseling from Northeast Missouri State University. Kurth's career experience includes working as a counselor/therapist with the Rock Island Youth Guidance Council and a faculty member with Scott Community College. She has served on the Scott County Democratic Central Committee and has been affiliated with Quad Cities Interfaith and Progressive Action for the Common Good.[1]
