As a proud resident of Utah and a dedicated Republican, I am running for Utah House District 35 to deliver thoughtful, principled leadership focused on real solutions for our community.

I’m a proud mother of two independent and unique daughters. Together with my husband Carl, to whom I’ve been happily married for ten years, we have a blended family of five children, all encouraged to think independently and to forge their own paths. Though I’m currently navigating a challenging job market, my experiences have only strengthened my resolve to serve the community.

I believe in a balanced approach to governance, one that values collaboration across the aisle and remains open to evolving viewpoints. As your representative, I’m committed to bringing thoughtful, pragmatic solutions to the table.
  • ACCOUNTABLE & LIMITED GOVERNMENT

I believe in a limited government that respects individual freedoms and empowers citizens. The state government should focus on core functions that serve the public good while allowing individuals/families the autonomy to make their own decisions. We must ensure that government actions are transparent and accountable as well as necessary, to the people. How can transparency/accountability be improved?

To improve transparency/accountability, we need to implement clear targeted reporting mechanisms and make government data readily accessible to the public. Regular audits and community feedback sessions can help ensure that government actions align with the needs and expectations of the residents we serve.
  • EDUCATION & PARENTS’ RIGHTS Our education system needs urgent repair. Too many third graders struggle to read, and some seventh graders read at a third grade level. We need targeted, effective strategies to close these gaps. Neurodivergent students need more personalized support. Instead of more legislative interference, we should invest in educator driven programs that empower teachers to tailor solutions. Smart use of state and community funds can help ensure every child succeeds. We also need stronger training for school administrators, with a clear pathway from teaching to administration phased in over five years.
  • COST OF LIVING, HOUSING, TAXES Families in District 35 are feeling the squeeze. Population growth, investor purchases, and newcomers from higher‑cost states have driven housing prices up, while rising construction costs add strain. We need bipartisan, data‑driven solutions to expand affordable housing and limit speculative activity. At the same time, taxpayers deserve a government that lives within its means. By improving efficiency, oversight, and reducing waste, especially in education spending funded by property taxes, we can ease long‑term pressure on families.
One priority this term is modernizing Utah’s unemployment system to reflect today’s workforce. Remote, hybrid, contract, and technology roles are now common, yet outdated policies can leave qualified Utahns behind. Experienced workers are especially impacted because they bring leadership, knowledge, and stability, yet often face barriers returning to work. A modern system must support retraining, upskilling, and fair access for workers of every age. Updating unemployment is not bureaucracy. It ensures policies match reality and help all Utah families thrive.
