The Montana State Employee Retirement Bill was not on the November 4, 2014 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred state statute. The measure would have required federal agents to obtain permission from local sheriffs before making arrests or serving warrants.[1]
Path to the ballot
A simple majority was required in both chambers to pass the legislatively referred state statute onto the ballot.
