The Montana Coal Tax Trust Fund Amendment, also known as C-3, was on the November 2, 1976 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure dedicated a portion of the coal severance tax to creating a permanent coal tax trust fund.[1][2]
