Montana Compensation for Elected Officials, C-16 (1986)

The Montana Compensation for Elected Officials Amendment, also known as C-16, was on the November 4, 1986 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure repealed the requirement of a creation of a salary commission to recommend compensation for the judiciary and the elected members of the legislative and executive branches.[1][2]
