The Montana Consolidation of Counties Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 3, 1936 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure prohibited the abandonment, abolition or consolidation of counties except by majority vote in the counties involved.[1][2]
