The Montana Establish Drinking Age Amendment, also known as C-4, was on the November 7, 1978 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure allowed the legislature or the people by initiative to establish the legal age for consuming or possessing alcoholic beverages.[1][2]
