Montana Executive Department Allocation, Amendment 2 (1970)

The Montana Executive Department Allocation Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the November 3, 1970 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided that all executive and administrative offices, boards, bureaus, commissions, and agencies, except for the offices of the governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, state treasurer, state auditor and superintendent of public instruction be allocated among no more than twenty departments.[1][2]
