The Montana Extra Amendments to Reorganize the Executive Department Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the November 3, 1970 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure permitted the legislature to submit amendments in addition to the three amendments authorized for the general elections in 1972, 1974 and 1976 in order to provide for the reorganization of the executive department.[1][2]
