Montana GOP gubernatorial candidate names running mate
November 15, 2011
HELENA, Montana: Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Fanning has named his running mate as Chuck Baldwin, the Constitution Party's 2008 presidential candidate in every state but Montana, where the state party elected Ron Paul. Fanning and Baldwin will be running on a conservative platform they say is based on the Constitution. Baldwin stated, "I think in this state, the Republican Party is composed of many, many constitutional conservatives and I think they will be attracted to our campaign,." There are currently nine Republican candidates seeking the GOP nomination to replace the term-limited Brian Schweitzer (D), whose term ends in 2012.[1]
