Montana Invest Coal Tax, I-95 (1982)

The Montana Invest Coal Tax Initiative, also known as I-95, was on the November 2, 1982 ballot in Montana as an initiated state statute, where it was approved. The measure provided that 25 percent of all future deposits to the permanent coal trust tax trust be invested in Montana's economy. The measure also created an economic development fund from a portion of the interest from the coal tax trust.[1][2]
