The Montana Legislative Approval for Nuclear Facilities Initiative, also known as I-71, was on the November 2, 1976 ballot in Montana as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have required legislative approval of any nuclear facility licensed under the Montana Major Facility Siting Act.[1][2]
