Montana Liquor Tax, IR-59 (1958)

The Montana Liquor Tax Initiative, also known as IR-59, was on the November 4, 1958 ballot in Montana as a veto referendum, where it was approved. The measure authorized the Montana liquor control board to collect an excise tax of 16% of the retail sale price on all liquor sold and delivered.[1][2]
