Montana Lobbyist Disclosure, I-85 (1980)

The Montana Lobbyist Disclosure Initiative, also known as I-85, was on the November 4, 1980 ballot in Montana as an initiated state statute, where it was approved. The measure required public disclosure of money spend to influence action of a public official. All individuals or businesses who employed lobbyists and spent more than $1,000 a year were required to give a complete accounting of all money spent.[1][2]
