Montana Pari Mutuel Betting, I-26 (1922)
|
|
The Montana Pari Mutuel Betting Initiative, also known as I-26, was on the November 7, 1922 ballot in Montana as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have made all wagers based on the results of any contest of speed, skill or endurance illegal except for those taking place during agricultural and livestock exhibitions. The measure would have provided that those wagers may only be placed by using pari-mutuel machines during any state or county fairs.[1][2]
