Montana Property Tax Determination, C-28 (1994)

The Montana Property Tax Determination Amendment, also known as C-28, was on the November 8, 1994 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have allowed the legislature to establish property values based on the value of the property at the time of purchase. The measure also would have allowed the legislature to limit increases in property value for tax purposes.[1][2]
