Montana Resource Indemnity Trust, C-1 (1974)

The Montana Resource Indemnity Trust Amendment, also known as C-1, was on the November 5, 1974 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure created a resource indemnity trust to be funded by taxes on the extraction of natural resources. The fund was mandated to maintain a principal balance of $100 million.[1][2]
