The Montana Tobacco Sales Tax Increase Initiative, also known as I-115, was on the November 6, 1990 ballot in Montana as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have increased the sales tax on cigarettes from 18 cents a pack to 43 cents and from 12 1/2 percent to 25 percent on other tobacco products.[1][2]
