Montana candidate filing opens for 2012 election cycle

HELENA, Montana: The filing period for candidates wishing to run for election in Montana opened on January 12, 2012. All 100 Montana House districts and half of the 50 Montana Senate districts will be up for election in 2012. The primary election took place on June 5, 2012 and the general election will be held on November 6, 2012. Candidates running for Montana State Senate and Montana House must pay $15 in filing fees. The filing period in Montana closes at 5:00 p.m. on March 12, 2012.[1]
