A Monterey-Salinas Transit District Transactions and Use Tax, Measure Q ballot question was on the November 4, 2014 election ballot for voters in the Monterey-Salinas Transit District in Monterey County, California. It was approved.

Upon approval, Measure Q enacted a one-eighth of one cent per dollar sales tax for the Monterey-Salinas Transit system. Revenues from the tax were designated to provide, maintain and protect transit services for Monterey County senior citizens, veterans and people with disabilities.[1]

A two-thirds (66.67%) vote was required for the approval of Measure Q.

Shall Monterey-Salinas Transit, also known as MST, provide, maintain and protect transit services for Monterey County senior citizens, veterans and people with disabilities, including trips to vital medical appointments and veterans’ job training/placement services, by enacting a one-eighth of one cent per dollar sales tax, to replace eliminated federal and state funding with local revenue to be dedicated only to these specific purposes, subject to citizen oversight and annual independent financial and performance audits? [2]
