A Montrose City Compensation Procedure Amendment proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Genesee County, which is in Michigan where it was defeated.

If approved, this proposal would have amended the City of Montrose Charter to allow the City Council to provide for alteration to be made to any procedure for determining the compensation of any officer or employee only once every year. Currently the charter allows for alterations to be made at any time.[1]
