A Montrose City Council Vacancy Amendment proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Genesee County, which is in Michigan, where it was approved.

This proposal amended the Montrose City Charter in order to allow the City Council to appoint a qualified person to fill any vacancy in the City Council.[1]
