A Montrose City Mosquito Control Assessment Imposition proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Genesee County, which is in Michigan where it was approved.

This proposal authorized the City of Montrose to impose $30 assessment on each parcel within the City for a period of five years in order to provide funding for mosquito abatement. The estimated first year revenue from this tax was $20,400.[1]
