Morgan Welles Brown
Morgan Welles Brown (1800-1853) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
He was nominated by President Andrew Jackson on December 18, 1833. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 31, 1833, and received commission on January 3, 1834. He served until his death on March 7, 1853.
On June 18, 1839, he was also assigned to United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, where he served until his death.[1] Brown was succeeded in this position by West Hughes Humphreys.
