I have been a practicing attorney for almost 20 years. I have worked as an Assistant District Attormey and a Magistrate Judge in Guilford County. I currently practice family law and criminal law. I have a vast range of experiences in our district courts. I have the knowledge and experience to hit the ground running on the first day of the job. I humbly ask for your vote and support. I am committed to treating everyone fairly and equally!
  • I am experienced, fair and experienced.
  • I am committed to treating everyone fairly and equally.
  • I am committed to working hard to ensure that our community has faith in our court system and to be treated with human dignity
I am personally passionate about children and our community. I volunteer in our community because I truly enjoy helping people. I have worked in our juvenile courtrooms as well as DSS courtrooms. I have zealously advocates for juveniles and parents in this courtrooms as an attorney. I believe that working with our community betters everyone!
The most important characteristics for an elected official is the passion to serve people and to work hard to be sure everyone is treated fairly and equally.
I am a hard worker and I have a lot of experience in District Court. My experience as an Assistant D.A. and Magistrate Judge helps me to be able to process cases efficiently and effectively.
The legacy I would like to leave behind is to have made our District Courts a place where the people have faith in our judicial system.
My first job was working as a cashier at Harris Teeter. I worked that job for several years. My mom worked several shifts as a single mother to support myself and my sister. I started working early in life to help my mother because I saw her working so hard to provide for our family.
My favorite book is Where the Sidewalk Ends. I still read it today to my children.
I admire all the Judges I have appeared before over the past 20 years in District Court. They make tough decisions everyday and I have learned a lot from every single one of them.
Empathy is a very important quality for a Judge. If you do not have the ability to understand the feelings of others then I do not think you can adequately perform your duties as a Judge. It takes knowledge to understand the law but empathy to understand people that appear before you as a Judge.
I am running for district court judge because I believe that my various legal experiences as well as my life experiences make me the best candidate. I want to help families and other persons facing the judicial system in a way that betters our community.
