Mountains Community Hospital District parcel tax, Measure K (May 2009)
A Mountains Community Hospital District parcel tax, Measure K ballot question was on the May 19, 2009 ballot for voters in the Mountains Community Hospital District in San Bernardino County, where it was approved.
Measure K authorized an extension of the hospital district's existing parcel taxes, which are (or were):
- $80 per home, regardless of valuation.
- $40 for a vacant lot.
- $200 for a business.
The parcel tax was first approved by voters in the hospital district in 1989. Every four years, a majority of voters must approve continuation of the tax.
The tax raises about two million dollars a year for the hospital.[1]
