A primary was scheduled for May 10, 2022.

There were several filing deadlines for these elections. The incumbent filing deadline for assessor-register of deeds, attorney, clerk of the district court, engineer, sheriff, treasurer, county commission, community college board, learning community coordinating council board, metropolitan utilities district board, and natural resources district board was February 15, 2022 The filing deadline for non-incumbents for these seats was March 1, 2022.
