It became apparent to her that community service can only go so far, that real and effective change can only come from quality legislation. Driven by this newfound passion, she continued her education at The Ohio State University and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. She completed multiple internships, became the IGNITE fellow of the Columbus chapter, received an award from the city and state in promoting mental health initiatives, and currently serves as the Programs Director for MAS-Columbus.
She’s running for OH-D9 because she knows what it’s like to fall within the cracks and is ready to get to work to revitalize, re-energize and restore hope in her community.- Investing in a high-quality education regardless of location.
- Affordable housing
- Healthcare
From personal experience, I know the constraints of the healthcare system. When I was first diagnosed with diabetes, I found myself having to work full-time while completing my college education just to pay for insulin and quality care. I remember still falling short, racking up large sums of debt due to hospital emergency visits, and struggling to pay off my medical debt. No one should ever go into crippling debt just to stay alive. If elected, I will work twice as hard to make sure that Ohioans have access to high-quality medication and care, regardless of income or pre-existing conditions.
Affordable housing crisis has caused mass displacement, gentrification, and homelessness in our community. Ohioans continue to suffer due to rising rental and housing costs, specifically low-income residents and senior citizens. Communities of color are also disproportionately affected by the failures in our housing market. If elected, I will work to ensure Ohioans are afforded protection against price hikes, push for more diverse developers and expand housing services for our homeless community.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
