Murray County Freeport Referendum (November 2010)

A Murray County Freeport Referendum measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Murray County.

This measure was split into three parts and all three questions were approved by voters.[1]

This measure was a freeport referendum which meant it sought to cut taxes on local inventoried materials held by local companies. Murray is one of four Georgian counties not to have a freeport, the state may force the issue before it is put to a vote. The purpose of the reduced taxes was to keep local companies in the area.[2]
