The MyFloridaFuture tool, developed by the State University System of Florida, is an online platform to compare information on academic programs and employment data, including salaries, student loans, and employment rates for different programs and career paths. The tool aims to help students and families explore career paths, research academic programs, and make informed decisions about their future.[1][2]
The State University System of Florida developed this online platform as directed by House Bill 1261 that was enacted in 2021.[3]
This interactive dashboard allows students to access the following earning and student debt data at the state level as well as at each of Florida’s 12 public universities for the following:
- Earnings over time: What are the median earnings for different academic programs at 1, 5, and 10 years after graduation?
- Compare earnings: What are the low, median, and high salaries for each degree program after graduation?
- Beyond the bachelor's: How does getting a master's or doctorate degree affect the earning potential?
- Earnings by major group: What are the salary ranges of different majors after graduation?
- This data also shows the percentage of graduates working full-time.
- Typical loan amounts: What is the percentage of students who graduate with student loans and what is the average loan amount?
- Loans over time: What are the average monthly student loan payments compared to the monthly median wage for each degree type?
