General: She was defeated in the general election on August 7, 2014, after receiving 23.5 percent of the vote. She competed against incumbent Judge Phyllis B. Gardner.

May-Hamilton received her undergraduate degree from the Virginia Union University and her J.D. degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.[3]
Career
May-Hamilton serves as general counsel for the Hamilton Entertainment Employment Law LLC.[4]
