I am a retired state trooper/farmer and business owner. I grew up on the farm I now own. I am tired of the lies and deceit by both major parties. Nothing changes other than government gets larger, taxes and public debt increases regardless of which party is in control. I was a member of the Republican party for over 40 years, however, I left the party when I finally realized the party big wigs and politicians did not care about the people of the state, but only in maintaining their own power.
  • Restore Honestly, Ethics and Honesty to government!
  • Term limits for all, elected office should be a service not a career
  • Stop the lobbyist money! Your voice is watered down by those paying and accepting theses legal bribes.
Term Limits. Removing the harmful effects of lobbyist money from the system.

We need a government for of the people, by the people and for the people, not for whoever writes the largest check and buys our laws.
Justice Scalia.

He was an honorable man, who interpreted the constitution as it was written. Regardless of his personal feelings.
I desire to serve others, honesty and integrity.

I am a sober hard working family man, I have been married 47 years,

I listen to people.

I am intelligent and not rash to react.
To resist the temptation to be bought out by lobbyist and party leadership and represent the people of the district.
My greatest legacy is leaving an example to my children and Grand Children. Giving them a better place to live than what we currently are.

Instilling a hard working attitude willing to serve others and take care of their own children and grand children.
I worked on a Christmas Tree farm as a teenager, I worked there three years
I fought a battle with Post Traumatic stress. Which with hard work and God's help I have over come.
I do, but it can also be a detriment. Some believe they are all knowing gods, and no longer listen to those that elect them.

It is more important elected people represent the district they are from and not a political party or another region. We are a rural district, but do to party shenanigans we have a legislator that represents the metro area and large businesses.

Also the moral character is more important, I would elect a moral person who represents the area over a drunken bar room brawler the party wants to represent them.
One of working together for the good of all people of the state.

One where both sides work to follow the US and State Constitutions.
Yes.

We need to work with each other to do the states business, and for the good of the people of the state. Unfortunately, in Minnesota we have devolved into two opposing sides working only to strengthen their respective party and the wealthy donors that support them.
I believe we need to overturn Reynolds Versus Sims, which in effect changed us having a republican form of state government to a Democratic one.

It disenfranchised millions of rural farm families.

I would like to see the states be able to re-district senate districts the way they desire and not by population.

For the federal house districts, I believe the districts should be close to rectangular in shape and not gerrymandering with long fingers and arms to achieve an advantage for any one party.
