This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $2 million in order to help pay for maintenance costs of the buildings in the district including roof replacements, heating and cooling upgrades and general repair or facilities.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| Shall Myrtle Point School District No. 41 issue bonds not exceeding $2,000,000 to perform school building maintenance? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution.[3] |
